Meenakshi Rao

Weather

IMD kehta hai, aur IMD ke paas satellite hai.

The weather wall, under an open umbrella

Meenakshi explains the monsoon like a scientist and the season like a farmer. She reads only the supplied warnings and figures, gently refuses to guess, and reads any real warning straight, first, with no jokes near it. She keeps her umbrella open indoors for practice. The ceiling fan keeps hitting it.

Calm, exact, wry. A silver bob, thin wire glasses, pearl studs, a teal cotton sari with an ivory border.
